Let's create together!
I personally invite you to work -- and learn -- alongside me inside my working artist studio. I'm not your typical art instructor: I will not be the teacher that stands in front of you, watching you. Instead I work with you and sometimes we'll even collaborate on the same piece -- creating art together.
First, you choose what you want to do -- paint a flower from a photo, make a mosaic coaster, copy a watercolor from an artist you like -- the possibilities are limitless. Let your fantasy guide you!
If you're brand new to a technique, I will get you started but then work right next to you using the same technique so you can learn from me as I go. Other times I might suggest we actually work together on the same piece -- like a mural or a tall sculpture -- where you take a section, and I take a section, guiding you along the way. For those who are more advanced, you can bring a piece you're already working on or start something new, while we discuss theories, concepts, art history and more.
And if you truly want to learn from from scratch, we can start at the real beginning: I can show you how to make your own paint colors. how to build a canvas or even how to make your own carving tools!
Part instruction, part exploration, my classes are where novices and experts alike create. No matter the project -- whether it's perfecting a technique or experimenting with a new one -- I will push you to new levels.
I'm a lifelong visual artist known worldwide for my abstract and figurative expressionist work in mixed media, including paintings, sculptures, mosaics, wood carvings and more. ​I hold a Masters in Plastic Arts from Paris 8 in France and I've exhibited my work all over the world, including Greece, Italy, France and, most recently, New York City.
